TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Corex Books
Last updated: 13 August, 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of corexbooks.com (the "Website") and your purchase of any products from us. The Website is operated by ECOMMERCEAU PTY LTD (ACN 699 073 428), trading as Corex Books ("Corex Books", "we", "us" or "our").

By accessing the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website or purchase from us. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and explains how we handle your personal information.

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version on the Website. Where reasonably practicable, we will notify you of material changes (for example, by email or a prominent notice on the Website). The current version is always posted on the Website with the "Last updated" date above, and applies to any order you place after it is posted.

2. Eligibility

To purchase from us, you must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to be bound by these Terms. By placing an order, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Our products

We sell logic-puzzle books and related products. We take care to describe and picture our products accurately, but we do not warrant that descriptions, images, colours, or other content are error-free, complete, or current. Cover designs, page counts, and finishes may vary slightly between print runs.

Our books are puzzles intended to be solved. While each puzzle is designed to have a verified solution, we do not promise that any particular person will solve it, or solve it within any particular time. Any references to difficulty, number of names, number of clues, or time involved are provided as a guide only.

4. Solution verification

We may make a solution-verification service available (including at corexbooksolutions.com) so that readers can check an answer to one of our puzzles. This service is provided for your personal use on an "as is" basis and may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. Unless we expressly state otherwise in writing, purchasing a book or using the verification service does not entitle you to any prize, reward, or payment, and is not entry into any competition.

5. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. Your order is not accepted until we send you confirmation that it has been dispatched, at which point a contract is formed between you and us. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will let you know and arrange a refund of any amount already paid.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order on reasonable grounds, including where a product is unavailable, where there has been an error in pricing or product information, or where we suspect fraud or a breach of these Terms.

6. Pricing and payment

Prices are shown on the Website in the currency indicated at checkout and are subject to change without notice, though changes will not affect orders we have already accepted. For Australian customers, prices shown are inclusive of GST. Unless stated otherwise, prices do not include shipping, and for international orders may not include taxes, customs duties, or import charges, which may be added at checkout or payable on delivery.

Payment is processed by our payment providers, including Shopify Payments and its processors. You must be authorised to use the payment method you provide. If a payment is reversed, charged back, or fails after dispatch, you remain responsible for the amount owing and any associated recovery costs, and we may suspend your access to the Website until the outstanding amount is resolved.

If we discover an error in the price of a product you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

7. Shipping and delivery

We ship through our print and fulfilment partners, including partners located overseas. Delivery timeframes shown on the Website are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.

You are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address. Where an order is returned to us as undeliverable due to an incorrect address or a failure to collect, we may charge you a reasonable fee for reshipping (not exceeding the original shipping cost). For international orders, you are the importer and are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or charges levied by your country, and for ensuring the products can lawfully be imported.

8. Returns, refunds and cancellations

If a product arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable (and in any event within 30 days of delivery) using the details in section 15 and we will make it right, including by replacement or refund where required. This timeframe does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law. Any separate Returns or Refund Policy we publish on the Website forms part of these Terms.

Australian consumers: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

US and other consumers: You may also have rights under the consumer protection laws that apply where you live. Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights you have that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the Website and in our products, including the puzzles, ledgers, clues, solutions, text, cover and interior designs, artwork, logos, and the names "Corex Books", "Charlotte Brooke", and our other author and brand names, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trade mark, and other laws.

You may use our products for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not reproduce, copy, distribute, republish, scan, resell, or create derivative works from any part of our products or the Website, including the puzzle content and solutions, without our prior written permission. Systematic extraction of names, clues, or solutions, and any use of our content to reproduce or compete with our puzzles, is expressly prohibited.

10. Your content

If you submit reviews, ratings, survey responses, comments, or other content to us or through the Website, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, edit, publish, and display that content in connection with our business, including in marketing. You confirm that your content is your own, is accurate, and does not infringe anyone else's rights or any law. We may remove or decline to publish any content at our discretion.

11. Acceptable use of the Website

You agree not to use the Website in any way that is unlawful or that could damage, disable, or impair it. In particular, you must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website or its systems, introduce malicious code, scrape or harvest data by automated means, or use the Website to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms.

12. Third-party links and platforms

The Website may link to third-party websites or sell through third-party marketplaces such as Amazon. We are not responsible for the content, products, or practices of third parties, and their terms and privacy policies apply to your dealings with them.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and subject to section 8 and any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded:

The Website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and we do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill, anticipated savings, or opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Website or our products.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms, the Website, or our products is limited, at our option, to resupplying the relevant product or refunding the price you paid for it.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that applies to you under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law and that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also have the benefit of mandatory consumer protection laws of the place where you live, and nothing in this section deprives you of those protections.
